Smart TV
A networked television is a controllable distraction. Turning it on creates sound that can pull a suitable nearby guard away from the patrol route.
Creating a distraction
- Turn the television on physically or remotely while it has power and valid access.
- The nearest reachable guard who is not already responding to danger can leave patrol to watch it.
- The distraction normally lasts for a configured period before the guard switches the TV off and returns.
Limits and risk
- An alarm, investigation, or chase takes priority and can interrupt the distraction.
- A physical toggle is suspicious if observed.
- A power outage turns the television off immediately.
